Gun Control and the Second Amendment
The Conservative Party strongly supports the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution which stipulates that a well regulated Militia is necessary for the security of a free State and that the rights of all law-abiding U.S. citizens to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
CP-USA further understands the right to bear arms is inherent in the right to individual self defense, the defense of the family, protection of private property and the preservation of traditional hunting rights.
The 2nd Amendment was also designed to protect the people against the tyranny of the federal government and to help preserve the independence of this Nation.
